SON CLAMPSDOWN ON FAKE PRODUCTS, MANUFACTURERS
The Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has warned manufacturers of fake products to desist from the act or face the full wrath of the law.
This was in the statement made by the organisation’s Director-General, Dr Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke, on 27th of January 2024 in Abuja, in his interaction with the Commerce and Industry Correspondents of Nigeria (CICAN).
He also stated that SON would make it compulsory for every product to carry the SON CAP logo that will Identify the product as genuine and go as far as charging offenders to court if need be.
He then called for the collaboration and support of CICAN to win the fight against adulterated products and ensure that all products manufactured in Nigeria are properly certified.
