2024: A Year of Consolidation, Resilience, and Impact!

As we begin 2025, we reflect on a year marked by significant resilience, modest impact, and a shared commitment to achieving business growth and opportunities in the agriculture, food safety, and nutrition environment. Despite the enormous challenges of the business environment in 2024, we are proud of our modest accomplishments and the partnerships we have built across Nigeria’s food, agriculture, and wellness sectors. Here’s a look at some of our achievements in 2024:
- We published a book titled Business Resilience: An Entrepreneur’s Blueprint for Thriving in Challenging Times. The successful production and listing of our book on Amazon, now available for local sales, has provided both old and new entrepreneurs with a strategic roadmap for navigating tough times in our peculiar economic environment by building resilience to remain in business. ISBN: 978-978-784-390-1.
- We provided key nutrition labeling and laboratory analysis services to various clients, supporting the food industry in ensuring the safety and quality of their products, especially SMEs, with the analysis and production of labels for a diverse range of products, including bread samples, unripe plantain flour, soymilk powder, etc.
- We received a significant recognition with the Scaling Up Nutrition (SBN) Network Nutrition Champion Award presented to our CEO, Prof Olugbenga Ogunmoyela, FNIFST, FIPAN, EMIFT, for several years of outstanding contributions to businesses within the SBN network, solidifying our leadership in the food and nutrition advocacy space in Nigeria.
- We completed the second year of the Safe and Nutritious Food Production and Home Processing training program in Oyo State, impacting 42 participants and resulting in the development of 26 new food products, which will soon be available as part of our new recipe book under preparation for promoting nutritious foods at the home level.
- Engaging with clients, we received positive feedback on our expertise and support, demonstrating our commitment to excellence and continuous service improvement.
- We amended our company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association to include Financial Advisory Services, broadening our ability to provide comprehensive support to businesses. Watch out for our first practical training in 2025 on “Finance for Non-Finance Literate Managers”
- We completed the cumbersome process to obtain our SCUML certification, strengthening our credibility and compliance with anti-money laundering laws and boosting our company’s image.
- After five years of various engagements, our CEO, as Chairman of the Country Working Group on Bouillon Fortification set up by the National Fortification Alliance in 2019, presented critical findings on bouillon fortification progress, with the approval of the National Industrial Standards for Bouillon and the National Code of Practice for Manufacturing of Fortified Bouillon, showcasing our role in advancing food fortification efforts in Nigeria. Simultaneously, we are proud of our continued collaboration with other coalition partners such as FMoHSW, RTSL, and NHED, in the quest to reduce salt/sodium consumption in Nigeria, through the National Salt Reduction Strategy.
- Our presence on social media grew significantly, with increased engagement across platforms, creating more opportunities to connect and engage with our audience.
As we move into 2025, we remain dedicated to expanding our impact and empowering businesses, farmers, and various professional groups in Nigeria’s food and agriculture landscape, as well as building more robust partnerships, especially in critical areas of capacity-building such as the laboratory sector.
Your unwavering trust has been the key to our success, and we are pleased to continue serving you on this journey, in 2025 and beyond. Thank you for being a part of our story!
