Strengthening Capacity in Food Quality and Safety in Nigeria: QA/QC Training by Glytabs Consulting Limited
As part of our commitment to building a stronger food system and enhancing capacity in food quality and safety in Nigeria, Glytabs Consulting Limited hosted a highly impactful one-day training on Quality Control and Quality Assurance in the Food Industry on 25th September. The training was designed to equip participants with practical skills and industry insights to improve product quality, ensure food safety, enhance regulatory compliance, and build consumer trust. Over the course of four interactive modules, participants were engaged with real-world case studies, laboratory analysis approaches, and regulatory frameworks shaping today’s local and global food industry.
The session was facilitated by two highly respected professionals who are Fellows of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology, NIFST, Prof Olugbenga Ogunmoyela and Mrs. Taiwo Ubany. Their wealth of industry experience and expertise brought depth and clarity to the training, ensuring participants gained both theoretical understanding and practical knowledge.
The training brought together participants from diverse sectors, including supply chain and commodity warehousing solution providers, nutritious food and beverage processors, and a government agency. Their blend of perspectives enriched discussions and underscored the cross-cutting importance of QA/QC for every player in the food value chain. Feedback from participants highlighted the timeliness and relevance of the program, with many emphasizing how the knowledge gained will directly improve their operations and help them meet both consumer expectations and regulatory standards.
